Customer Rating: Summary: Very Good Comment: I have traveled quite a bit and this adapter plug was first rate. You might be able to find it cheaper once you arrive in the UK, but the quality of this one will be noticeably superior. Definitely recommend. Customer Rating: Summary: Just what is needed for trip to UK Comment: I purchased this for use with my laptop and cellphone for a recent trip to the UK. The product worked great, both my laptop and cellphone chargers accommodate both 110 & 220 voltages, so all that was needed was an adapter. Customer Rating: Summary: only grounded plug I could find online Comment: Product was fine. In a product like this, there is nothing to rave about as long as it works! What I can say is that this turned out to be the ONLY grounded UK-compatible plug I was able to find on short notice online. All the others had pictures (not just on Amazon; on Radio Shack, etc) that made them LOOK grounded ... but the "third" prong on all of them was actually plastic, and therefore not functional. That's fine for many products that have only two-prong plugs, but I had a couple of devices that really do need their ground (or "earth" as they call it in Britain) and this plug filled that need. Customer Rating: Summary: Perfect for Laptops, no voltage conversion Comment: I used this plug with my laptop in Great Britain. It's light and exactly what you need for a switchable power supply. It does NOT convert voltage, so this will not work with most standard chargers.
It does well for what it is; however, I found something like this available in train stations, airports, and travel stores everywhere I went.
4 stars because it does its job, but nothing more, and wasn't much cheaper than buying one off the street.
