In Borat, the movie, Sacha Baron Cohen - star of HBO's hit comedy "Da Ali G Show," and featured as Will Farrell's nemesis in the hit movie Talladega Nights, takes his outrageous Kazakhstani reporter character Borat to the big screen. In this hilariously offensive movie, Borat travels from his primitive home in Kazakhstan to the U.S. to make a documentary. On his cross-country road-trip, Borat meets real people in real situations with hystericalconsequences. The companion CD to the movie features original comedy as well as musical numbers like "Born to be Wild" and "In My Country There Is A Problem" (aka "Throw The Jew Down The Well"). The package will also include five minutes of exclusive video outtakes from the movie.

Customer Rating: Summary: In my country there is problem... Comment: This music disc is very niiice! I like very much. I play music disc and then it become sexxxy time! Hi Five! Customer Rating: Summary: Where's Corky Buchek? Comment: The greatest album ever to come out of Kazakhstan! With one big exception --- where is Corky Buchek and his mega hit "bing bang"? Fortunately, Corky (like everyone) has a myspace page where you can listen to (and download) his music (Myspace profile name CorkyBuchek69).
Seriously, the album is pretty good --- quite a few catchy ethnic tunes (not sure they're really from Kazakhstan, but still good) and the included dialogue from the movie is really funny (and short). Get it for a good laugh. Customer Rating: Summary: unexpected dimonds Comment: Hi,
I got tired of pop music (White and Black) a long time ago. Every few years something interesting happens but overall - quiet times awaiting something New and interesting. BTW, importantly - I live in the USA.
So, I resort to listening to what they often call - world music. Anything from Ivan Kupala, to French/Arab rappers, to Gogol Bordello, to Andean and Native N. American music . . . So when I heard BORAT's soundtrack I was blown away! There are scenes from the movie (or is it "motion-cinema"?), a few tracks that seem to be jokes (Born To Be Wild+) and that's all funny and good. But many of the tracks of my interest are musical gems! Wonderfully fresh (for us in the US) rhythms of South-Central Europe with lots of Gypsy sound - boundless energy and beat fused with melancholy [Chaje Shukarije, Gypsy Kolo, Siki, Siki Baba++]. If you can move past "Borat", you'll be treated to the world that's very unique, fresh, and fun for us here in the US.
K Customer Rating: Summary: Drinking and dancing like Kasakhi's, this is it! Comment: If you like Borat and music from the Balkans, this is great drink and have fun-music... Customer Rating: Summary: It's nice!! Comment: I got this Cd as a gift for my brother, and we're both big fans of the movie, so naturally he loved it. The songs as part of the soundtrack are peppered in with bits of Borat's monologue.
