My favorite restaurants in Kathmandu, Pokhara, or around Annapurna didn't make this one, but I'm sure it can be found in Lukla. The bamboo pieces are like large water chestnuts. Give them a try. I add organic tofu for extra protein and serving size. Can also be served over organic pasta or toast. This review is out there for those for whom this makes a difference. THe package says it is two to three servings. Maybe for lunch, but for dinner, the entire package plus some rice was a nice size serving. The spices had a little slow heat behind them, but not overwhelming. This was perfect for the middle of my preferred spice range, mild to medium hot. I also appreciated that it contained basic wholesome ingredients and no chemicals...and was so easy to prepare. Customer Rating: Summary: Delightfully Delicious Comment: We don't eat much ready to eat food because it usually tastes pretty filthy and we prefer to cook our own meals from fresh ingredients. However, I was attracted by the quality packaging of Going Native's Sherpa's Delight and the reasonable price point, so picked up a packet for emergency use! The emergency came tonight - 15 minutes until we had to leave and no sign of any supper. Problem solved: 2 minutes to heat the Sherpa's Delight, add some leftover rice and we had an instant, and very good meal for 2! Seriously good actually - restaurant quality out of packet - I won't be waiting for an emergency to try out the other flavors! It has a good mix of flavors and just the right amount of spice. There are plenty of potatoes and black-eye peas to make it very filling assuming you eat the entire package (2 servings).
