From the supplier: The boom in hotel development in Southeast Asia is expected to continue with the region's strong economic progress and increasing tourist arrivals. Much of the investments in hotel construction however, comes from within the region as fears about political instability and lack of investment security persist particularly in countries such as Myanmar, Cambodia and Laos. Investment in the mature markets of Singapore and Hong Kong however, entails expensive development costs.
